No. Attendees are responsible for their own travel and overnight accommodations, and a block of rooms has been reserved at a reduced rate. Scheduled meal functions (Friday dinner; Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner; and Sunday breakfast and lunch) are complimentary.

How many CME/CE credits can I earn at this meeting?
The Academy for Healthcare Education, Inc., designates this educational activity for a maximum of 14.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
AAPA accepts Category I credit from AOACCME, prescribed credit from AAFP, and AMA Category 1 CME credit for the PRA from organizations accredited by ACCME.

No. Self-parking at the Hilton Chicago is available at $41 per day and valet parking is also available at $45 per day or $26 for 0-6 hours. All parking fees will be your responsibility and are subject to change.

Do I need to register at the meeting?
Yes, you need to register at the meeting in order to be admitted to sessions and food functions and to receive credit. You will receive meeting materials at that time. Registration will take place on the lower level of the Hilton Chicago from 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM on Friday, November 2, and from 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM on Saturday, November 3. Registration will open at 7:00 AM and close at 12:45 PM on Sunday, November 4.

You are welcome to attend. We will provide you with a certificate stating that you attended the meeting. Consult your licensing authority to see if they will accept AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

What are the differences between the tracks?
The tracks are geared toward specific target audiences; however, attendees may choose whichever one they want. Individual sessions will be conducted as small, interactive symposia.

No, for our planning purposes, you may only register for one track, but you may switch tracks while at the meeting.

How will the Congress be interactive?
All participants will be provided with an anonymous handheld keypad for use during the Congress. In addition, individual segments within each track will be structured to encourage audience participation.

This year’s Dementia Congress Keynote Speaker is Dr Zaven Khachaturian, President and CEO of the Keep Memory Alive program at the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute in Las Vegas, Nevada. Dr Khachaturian’s presentation title is Prospects for Preventing Dementia: Long-Range View.
