Peter J. Lin, MD, CCFP, served as the Medical Director at the University of Toronto Health & Wellness Center in Scarborough, Ontario, Canada, for 8 years before becoming the Director of Primary Care Initiatives at the Canadian Heart Research Centre also located in Ontario. He is also the Medical Director of LinCorp Medical Inc. and a general practitioner at The Doctor’s Office and the Pape Village Medical Centre, both in Toronto.
Dr Lin earned his medical degree at University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in Ontario, Canada. He completed his clinical clerkship training at Wellesley Hospital and a comprehensive surgical internship at Mount Sinai Hospital, both also in Toronto.
Dr Lin serves as a consultant for Perspectives in Cardiology and has been a guest editor for magazines such as Focus on Cardiology. He is a member of the Editorial Board for the Canadian Alzheimer Disease Review. An active lecturer, he delivered over 100 presentations to the medical community and the general population in 2003. He has a particular interest in sharing the knowledge from research journals with the primary care physician who can then apply this knowledge to the care of patients on a daily basis.
