Floyd B. Willis, MD, is Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville in Florida. Dr Willis also serves as a Consultant in the Department of Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic Jacksonville.

He earned his medical degree at the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, where he received the Morehouse School of Medicine Deans Leadership Award and the Primary Care Award. He performed a three-year residency in family medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Dr Willis contributed chapters to Mayo Clinic's Complete Guide for Family Physicians and Residents in Training (2000). He is the author of numerous abstracts, letters, and papers. He also serves on several editorial boards, including the Mayo Clinic Health Quest Guide To Self Care where he is a reviewer and a contributor.
He has lectured nationally and internationally on dementia. His research interests include the standardization of neuropsychological testing in older African Americans as well as genetic testing for dementia among African Americans. Dr Willis has been awarded numerous research grants for dementia-related projects.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including Academy of Family Physicians. He currently serves as Vice President of the Duval County Medical Society and sits on its board of directors.
