Joshua R. Shua-Haim, MD, FACP, AGSF, CMD, is a Program Director of a geriatric fellowship program associated with the Department of Medicine, Jersey Shore Medical Center. He is also Medical Chief of Meridian Institute for Aging, an outpatient geriatric program affiliated with Meridian Health System. The program includes a geriatric private practice in Monmouth County, New Jersey; a Senior Health Center in Ocean County, New Jersey (Meridian Institute for Aging, a division of Meridian Health System); and a Memory Disorders Institute.

Dr Shua-Haim is affiliated with the Department of Medicine at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, School of Osteopathic Medicine at Stratford, where he holds an appointment as Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Shua-Haim is an attending physician at Jersey Shore Medical Center at Neptune and at the Medical Center of Ocean County in Brick, New Jersey. He also has consulting privileges at Southern Ocean County Medical Center in Manahawkin, New Jersey. He is a medical director in several long-term care facilities, among which are “The Worthington” at Brick, and the Jersey Shore Center and Rehab at Eatontown.

Dr Shua-Haim received his MD from Sackler School of Medicine, Tel-Aviv University, in Israel. He then completed his residency at Coney Island Hospital in Brooklyn, New York, and a fellowship in geriatrics at New York University Medical Center and at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City.

Dr Shua-Haim has published over 500 abstracts, papers, and studies on geriatrics, as well as on Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) and the American Geriatrics Society (AGSF). He is a Certified Medical Director (CMD) accredited by the American Medical Directors Association in long-term care.
